In 1982 Canadian Daniel Renaud, a skin care expert in his own right, traveled to East Germany to check out a process he had learned was being used with great success in a burn hospital. Mr. Renaud discovered a new process which required no injection to penetrate the dermis level of the skin. He purchased the company moving the plant to Quebec Canada where he perfected the process.

Clayton Shagal's Collagen remains the only collagen product with lab clinically proof that it penetrates to the dermis when used topically.
