What is MCR -Maximum Cosmetic Recovery?
MCR is a procedure that involves the delivery of MCR into the face and body through specially designed conducting wands that are applied at specific acupuncture points.  The experience is described as wonderfully relaxing and euphoric, causes no pain or swelling and the age-defying results are remarkable.

Although mainstream in Europe for several years, the technology is only recently gaining popularity in America, particularly in Hollywood, where most cosmetic trends tend to originate. Since 2005, celebrity insiders are reporting this treatment as one of the most sought after cosmetic procedures among celebrities in the weeks before the Academy Awards.  Now more well-known's are publicly confirming they are regular clients.  Among the stars are Goldie Hawn, Jamie-Lee Curtis, Mel Gibson, Meryl Streep, Drew Barrymore, Gwyneth Paltrow, Sandra Bullock, Susan Sarandon, Rene Zellweger, Michelle Pfeiffer, Kate Winslett and many more.

The technology has a  30 year safe record in the cosmetic industry, however there has been significant discoveries in the last decade. The best equipment is the brain child of a team of physicians, scientists and a NASA engineer that required more than 10 years of research and development.  The FSM waveforms that are used is the breakthrough technology that makes this treatment the most effective innovation to date in the cosmetic non-invasive world.  Now, in less than a one hour, session the procedure is consistently producing noticeable age-defying results.

What results can I expect from the MCR procedures?
If you already have signs of aging, you can expect to look younger once you complete the recommended program. Everyone of course responds differently, however everyone gets results.  Factors that compliment y our progress include a regimen of collagen and elastin, diet, water intake, exercise and avoiding overexposure to the sun.

The technology is now so effective, you can expect to see noticeable results the first hour of treatment.  Changes are gradual versus a drastic, many times bizarre look, that often is the result immediately after a surgical face lift.  You can check the Consumers Page of this website for a link to before and after photos.

Some of the many benefits that the procedure has achieved are:

  • Diminishes or eliminates fine lines, creases and wrinkles
  • Hydrates and revitalizes skin, making it smoother and softer
  • Improves blood circulation and lymphatic drainage
  • Visibly firms and contours, lifting the overall droop
  • Tightens sagging jowls, doubling chins and fatty cheeks
  • Clears up or reduces acne
  • Reduces the appearance of stretch marks & cellulite on the body
  • Reduces scarring and dimpling from laser resurfacing
  • Reduces dark circles or puffiness under eyes
  • Reduces symptoms of Sinusitis, Rhinitis and Rosacea

While many cosmetic procedures, like skin resurfacing, rely on invasive means such as wounding the dermis to obtain results, the results from MCR are produced in a non-invasive and non-abrasive way that stimulates natural regenerative powers within your body.  Clinical research in FSM revealed these effects:

  • 500% increase in ATP (adenosin triphospate, the chemical fuel of human cells)
  • 35% increase in blood circulation
  • 40% increase in gluconeogenesis (production of new gulcose)
  • 45% increase in the number of the elastin fibers
  • 50% increase in the lenght of elastin fibers
  • 10% increase in collagen thickness in the connective tissue
  • 35% increase in the number of blood vessels
  • 28% increase in lymphatic drainage

And the good news is that the effects of MCR treatment are cumulative, the 10 to 15 treatment regimen, enhanced by collagen and elastin applied cutaneously, provide amazing results in a few weeks.

Does the MCR procedure work anywhere but the face?

In fact some of the best results, with the new body wands that emit current from the entire wand, (instead of just the tips as found in older technology) the body results are as dramatic, if not more so, than the face.

MCR works to tone and lift sagging body areas therefore reducing the appearance of cellulite, stretch marks, cellulite dimples and creases and achieves an overall firming of muscle tone.   The most popular procedure is the buttock lift.  Other areas include the stomach, thighs, back, arms, and  hands.

What is MCR?

MCR is a multi-modality term coined by the Texas Beauty Institute. A mainstay is microcurrent. It is the closest known electrical current that can be delivered on a near identical magnitude as the electrical current the human body naturally produces on its own; it is therefore physiologic and safe.  MCR, because of its close proximity to our own body's current, works on a more cellular level and it is upon this initial cellular healing platform that the research and development began for the use in aesthetic regeneration.

It is such a small strength of current that it would take literally thousands and thousands of the units linked together to light up a 40-watt light bulb.

How is the technology rejuvenating the face and body?

As we age our body loses much of its natural electrical energy, much like a battery gradually losing its charge.  On a cellular level, this leads to a breakdown of collagen and elastin in the skin.  The breakdown results in the wrinkles, sagging, uneven skin, and symptoms relating to the aging process.  Beneath the skin, muscles are become increasingly contracted due to facial express and gravity contributing to the drooping of the face.

MCR modalities create protein synthesis and cellular membrane transport are increased as is the reconstitution of collagen and elastin.  The results are improved skin tone and coloration, along with the reduction of lines, wrinkles and sagging of the face and body.

What age range is this treatment suited for?

Clearly baby boomers are the ideal candidates and anxious to turn back the effects of aging.  However, the newly invented body wands have been effective on clients as young as their early twenties in the treatment of cellulite and firming of the buttocks.

Is there any risk of harmful side effects, pain or downtime from this procedure?

There is no pain, redness, swelling or downtime.  In fact, many describe the results as amazing and the procedure as a great escape from the stress of the day.

How many procedures do I need and how long do the results last?

The minimum recommend program involves 10 sessions, with two the first week and one per week thereafter.  The results will last as long as you continue to maintain them with booster sessions every 4 to 8 weeks, just as you would maintain the highlights in your hair, for example.  The ongoing use of TBI products researched to enhance non-invasive techniques can stretch maintenance sessions up to 12 weeks.

How much would I expect to pay for the procedure?

The treatments are typically within anyone's budget with available packages as affordable as a one hour massage.  Rates for the procedure are set by the individual professional.
